Meet Megan (she/her)

*Megan is currently accepting new clients for individual counseling. Megan is not currently accepting new clients for couple's or family counseling.

Megan Kavinsky (she/her), LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) is passionate about client-centered care and believes that the counseling experience should be driven by the client’s needs. Clients come to counseling for a variety of reasons and Megan believes all clients, no matter the reason for seeking help, deserve compassion, empathy and attentiveness.

Megan’s clinical experience comes from working within many mental health settings such as school-based support, community mental health, and private practice. These experiences have allowed for Megan to gain evidence-based training in TFCBT (trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy), ADHD, Parent Care, Behavior Management, Mindfulness, DBT, and Gottman Level 2 Relationship Therapy.

Megan’s multi-faceted and interdisciplinary background have presented her with the opportunities necessary to become highly-trained in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, mood and adjustment issues, as well as couples care and helping those with neuro-developmental disorders.

She creates a welcoming environment with a calm and relaxed nature. Megan values a client’s experiences and will work with her clients on their personal journey to greater wholeness and mental health.

For those clients who wish to incorporate faith and spirituality, Megan offers experience in faith-based counseling with a Christian lens. Megan allows clients to explore meaning, purpose, faith and spirituality in a safe and welcoming environment.

Please note that Megan does not test/evaluate for ADHD or ASD, but does provide treatment & support for these populations! Megan facilitates our upcoming Parent Support Group for caregivers of autistic individuals. You can learn more about this group under our group’s tab!
